Characters/OCs

Sat Nov 14, 2009, 10:19 PM
Okay, sorry I keep posting so many pointless journals (I feel bad when I do that! D: ), but this one might interest you. A friend of mine, :iconbloodemptywitness:, posted a list of all of her characters (she's got a shitload of them!) and we got to talking, sooo... Here's a list of all of my characters. Most of them, I aven't got to know that well, so bear with me!

1. Galahad: I think that's his name. it's been so long. :XD: My first character, really; I came up with him in 9th grade. He's a hybrid, his father was a merman and his mother was a... Well, I never really came up with a name for them, but they're a distant, more savage relative of Merfolk. Basically, In my story, Merfolk had evolved from humans (Maybe from Atlantians? From Atlantica.), while the unnamed race Galahad's father belonged to evolved from ancient sea monsters. The two races live in a fragile sort of harmony. They pretty much just stay out of each other's way. Galihad is pretty much looked down upon by the Merfolk, even though he was adopted by their king. (He was found abandoned on the edges of the kingdom by the princess.) He's friends with another hybrid (2/3 merfolk) and a human girl who lives on the coast of... Wherever. :P
The story's a bit cliche, I admit, but I don't really care. There's more to it, as well, but I don't want to give it away, in case I ever pick the story up again.

2. Marcella Jones/Motley: I wrote the first two chapters of her story, but I never uploaded them here. Originally, she ended up as a less insane version of Harley Quinn. The story is, she found the Joker, sick and drunk after a night of celebrating with a fever (I can see him doing that. I dunno.), and takes him home to take care of him. Her father was a doctor, so she believes in helping sick people of any standing. :p Plus... She's really bored with life. She's a freelance painter who's pretty well off, but nothing interests her anymore. So, becoming the Joker's partner was a last-ditch attempt to make life interesting again. She was more sane than Harley Quinn in the sense that, yes, she "loved" him, but she never expected (or wanted, really) to be his girlfriend. She just stuck around for the adrenalin rush.
I pretty much discontinued her story, since Joker fans were throwing out characters left and right, but I dunno, I really like her. I'm thinking of giving her her own story, or something.

3. Serenity Davis/Nightmare: If you're reading this, then you're probably familiar with this character. Well... She's been revised and updated. The Jonathan in her story was too OOC, so I changed up his roll in it and her personality. She no longer has alter egos, as I felt they were a desperate attempt to make her interesting. Which, really they were. Her new personality makes up for it, though, I promise you. She's a lot more screw-loose, now. She's kind of like his Harley Quinn? Except, she's not in love with him. She's just determined to be his daughter, despite his protests. :XD: She's got a pretty manic personality now, which makes her get along with the Joker a bit better. She still hates his guts, but she enjoys insulting him in a friendly tone. Until he pulls out a knife, that is. Then she suddenly remembers something important she forgot to do that she has to do RIGHT NOW. :XD:

4. White Rabbit: A character who I haven't fully fleshed out. (He doesn't even have a real name yet.) He's Serenity's on/off friend and sometimes partner in crime. I'm not really sure if I want to keep him. His story sounds too much like :iconrikusshadow:'s character, VooDoo. His parents are rich, and weren't/aren't around enough, so they pretty much leave him to his own devices. He's a techie wiz kid with a genius-level IQ who thinks life is boring and people are benieth him. (Wow... Now he sounds too much like Jonathan. :() He's a spoiled brat who tends to throw angry tantrums when he can't get what he wants. This usually involves beating up Batman, as White Rabbit no longer asks his nanny (who takes care of him) for things he wants. He just steals them. :p (This kid is like, 10 or 11, mind you.)
I dunno, tell me what you think. I like him, either way.

5. Unnamed Clown Girl: Princess of a land where reality is a relative consept that anyone can change and the more naturally colorful you are, the better. Err... Her story is kind of hard to explain without giving away the ENTIRE thing. ^^ She was created while I was listening to Mika's new CD, The Boy Who Knew Too Much. She was also inspired by Delirium of the Endless. ^^;

6. Unnamed Mime Boyfriend of Unnamed Clown Girl: Not royalty at all, but his simple magic tricks and quiet charm win her heart. :) (Once again, hard to explain without giving away the entire thing.)

7. Three Best Friends (All Unnamed): Okay, I came up with thses three after hearing (way too late) about Deviant Dead. I can't enter, but I like these characters, so whatever.
Friend number one is a hyper ball of WTF. Her favorite things are gore, gorey movies, B-rate horror movies, zombies, horror survival videogames, science fiction, and bright, colorful things.
Friend number two is the paranoid daughter of a Vietam war vet. He's not really one of those crazy ones, but he thought nothing of telling her gruesome war stories when she was a little girl. Her mother died when she was very little, so no one was around to tell him that telling children war stories is not a good idea. She believes in Aliens, conspiracy theories, the whole nine yards. When the zombie apocalypse hits, she's convinced it's a virus that the government has been working on for a long time. Whether or not she believes the government purposely let it out, she won't say.
Friend number three is a meak lover of comics who hates gore. He constantly wonders why he is friends with the above mentioned. He keeps them from doing anything too stupid.

So, tell me what you think! Seriously, I need feedback. :|
